Loved this monitor We absolutely love this monitor. It's very clear and picks up every little sound and like other reviewers said you can even hear the baby breathing. We haven't had a problem with static. Only one issue - when we lived in a townhouse our neighbors had a baby monitor and we'd pick up each other's babies sometimes.. we changed to the other channel and the problem was solved. That's what that feature is for! :) We live in a house now and have no problems. Love the double receivers, couldn't live without them. We leave one in the bedroom and one in the kitchen/den area plugged in. We didn't have an issue with getting the batteries in and i thought it was a good idea to have the battery cover screwed on so little curious fingers can't get the cover off. We have been very happy with this monitor.
Well Worth It!
No static, no interference, no neighbors talking, good belt clip, having 2 receivers is great, and one of the lowest priced 2-receiver models on the market.
My old Sony monitor had been dropped so many times (the belt clip didn't hold very well) I could barely hear my son through the static and feedback.
I wanted 2 receivers this time so I could just leave one in the bedroom. The reviews said this one was the best and they were right! This is clearer than my Sony ever was. And I bought that one when he was born because everyone said it was the best for non-interference. That is important to us because we run a wireless LAN in our home, as well as a 2.4 GHz telephone system.
This thing has zero interference, zero static, and I can hear my son breathe on just a medium volume setting.
Very Good Monitor for Price
I love this monitor. The dual receivers are great for a multiple level home. I have never had problems with the noise except in outlets that make everything hum (sometimes the problem is within the electrical of your home, not the monitor itself.) In response to the poor reviews, I think the product must have been defective and it is a shame she couldn't take it back. We have left ours on 24/7 since my 20 month old was born and never had a problem. I also loved that I could hear my daughter breathing when SIDS was an issue I was concerned about.
Also, just make sure the monitor and the receivers are on the same channel or else you won't hear anything.
