 Must have for your PS3
I love this controller. It automatically assigns itself to controller 7, and allows you to easily turn on your PS3 from the couch. This also makes using the media server and blu-ray functions a lot easier for any non-gamers.

 Nice remote but...
Whatever possessed Sony to make a bluetooth remote?! Controllers I can understand but remote? You cannot program your tv, amp, dvd, or any other infrared remote. As well as program your infrared remote to learn this remotes codes. At least as far as I know. So as far as having a remote for your PS3 yeah it works but better have your tv remote handy if you want to adjust the volume, switch inputs, etc.

A must for watching movies
You *can* watch movies using the sixaxis gamepad controller as a remote, but it certainly isn't very convenient. This one works well -- bluetooth is wonderful for remotes -- no bother with pointing at a sensor, etc.

>Contrary to some other reviews, this *can* power the player on or off with this remote. Simply hold in the round button with the PS Logo on it in the center of the remote -- the same way you power off the player with the sixaxis gamepad controller.
