If you receive a second call while you're already on the phone, you can view the second caller's name and number and then decide whether to put your first caller on hold. Line status indicators tell you that a line is in use. A new call indicator on the base illuminates to indicate new calls during your absence, and the visual message-waiting indicator lets you know when you have a voicemail message.

Sony's jog-dial feature offers one-touch access to your personal directory and to caller ID memory. The push of a button lets you scroll to find the entry you're looking for, and another push of the same button dials the number.
