Your finger is NOT your user name/password!
I recently purchased this item and was disappointed by its function. First, I was under the impression that instead of having to type a unique user name and password on websites or when logging onto windows, you could use the fingerprint as your user name and password - somehow the unit would send a digital code to the screen prompt. Not so much. You still need to have a typed user name and password, then hold ALT and press the ok or submit button. Then it stores that info so it can be pulled up via your fingerprint. For some that may be acceptable, but it would be better if your fingerprint would serve as a unique digital password...eliminating the need to ever come up with a creative password again. The way this works, you could just purchase a Password Manager program and have all your user name / passwords fill-in automatically when you goto a particular website. If you are concerned about Windows logon security, then this may be of some use - but not worth the money IMO.
