Customer Reviews of Sony Clie PDA (PEG-S320)
Great product, horrible company. I am divided over this thing called "Sony". <

>First off, the PEGS320 is great and everything I want. It suits my needs perfectly. After 4+ years the batter still works fine, the hardware is working, and it still functions. I like how it looks and the size. The different programs work perfectly, and the only base software problem I have is a crash with Windows XP when giant amounts of information are Hotsynced. Windows XP isn't support by the Sony Clie PEGS320 software, though. <

>But I have a problem with Sony. And a warning about Sony's Customer Support. If you are wanting to get something that is expensive and you want Customer Support, DO NOT GO WITH SONY. Sony is a headache when it comes to this. I'll explain why. <

>My Sony Clie handheld lasted me a while until the screen broke. I then contacted Sony about it. Sony said that the screen can be replaced for $200 dollars - yes, that is the cost of the handheld at the time. I got it down to $100 dollars, but still, the screen can't be worth half the cost of the handheld. Nevertheless, I sent it in. It then takes two months for it to ship out, get fixed, and arrive back at my house. But Sony did not leave it at that. The handheld returned minus a screw. But it has stayed togther with just the four of five it has. <

>I do like the handheld, Sony comes out with nice products, but the Customer Support ruins the balance. If they had good Customer Support I believe they would be much better off. From using and working with my Dell computer, Dell has the best Customer Support I've ever seen. Go with them if you want that assurance. <

>Sony is not friendly for the long-term committed type. If you buy it, plan _very_ hard not to break it. =)
Provided faithful service for over 2 years now!
This is a super PDA. I've been using mine now for over 2 years and have had no problems whatsoever. I want to upgrade to a color version with more memory now, but I'm afraid I won't find one that is as reliable and robust as this Clie.
Super Little PDA - fits perfect in my pocket
This is a great little PDA - the nice thing is that it's very slim and the battery lasts forever. The screen is very easy to view and I love the backlit greenish-effect - it makes it so easy to read in limited light situations.

>I've had mine for 2 years and this thing takes a beating and keeps on going. I've dropped it several times and it's had no effect upon it. Great job, Sony!

>If you're concerned about hot sync with Windows NT, 2000 or XP, it WILL WORK FINE, contrary to what others have posted. All you have to do is make sure you install the software using an Administrative account, rather than a limited account. Simple solution.
