sony premium CD-RW CRX 160E-A1 12x/8x/32x is my first experience with re-write. This re-write has never worked and when installed literally stalled my computor. My technitian removed everything and reinstalled from scratch the drivers and programs. As soon as the re-write was plugged in again, problems with the mouse and everything fell apart again. Do not buy this garbage.....Looks like all sony products are defected according to others, even the most updated re-writes are full of flaws...

Satisfactory burner, horrible software
Decent hardware I suppose, but do look elsewhere for burning software - Sony CD Extreme is a very flawed CD creation program with minimal features and sometimes burns music at the wrong speed and corrupts data files, not to mention it's stability and compatibility issues.

If you can get the CD burner at a decent price, go for it, but look into Nero, CDex or Easy CD Creator for putting together your CD-Rs.
