Doesn't Insult the Listener¿s Intelligence With the rappers rapping simple rhymes for simple minds, and the hippity-hoppers hoppin' around like they've got a bug in their pants, and tattooed kids screaming about something; where's a person to go for some decent music? I mean music that doesn't insult the listener's intelligence, and doesn't send the dog running for cover. Well, how about Suzy Bogguss? Sure 'Somewhere Between' is a country album, but you won't find one song that contains either a pick-up truck, a bar or a "leavin' song." OK fine, 'Hopeless Romantic' is a leaven' song. Suzy delivers 'Hopeless Romantic' and 'Cross My Broken Heart' with tenderness and sincerity. Her voice is poised and romantic: it'll pierce the hardest of hearts. Another exciting cut is the jumping "I'm At Home On The Range." If you aren't up and dancing around the room during this number, then surely you've succumbed to room temperature. So get 'Somewhere Between' or I'll tell all you friends that you own a complete collection of Culture Club CD's.

i fell in love with suzy bogguss after hearing this. her sense of fun, her voice-so beautiful- the songs; it all works. i'm normally not a country fan but 4 me this works. takes me into the tennessee woods. excellent debut album.

SOMEWHERE BETWEEN IS ONE OF SUZY BOGGUSS BEST CD'S! I FIRST HEARD "CROSS MY BROKEN HEART" IN MY GARAGE, ON THE RADIO, AND HAVE BEEN IN LOVE WITH THAT VOICE, EVER SINCE. EVERY SONG FITS. ITS HARD TO PICK THE BEST SONG. THEIR ALL GREAT! BUT THERE IS ONE THAT STANDS OUT. SHE SAVED THE BEST FOR LAST. "NIGHT RIDER'S LAMENT" IS A CLASSIC. ONE OF MY FAVORITE SONGS. IF YOU LOVE SUZY, YOU HAVE TO HAVE THIS CD.
