Valuable inventions for today’s busy parents, car seat/carrier combinations, such as the Graco Snugride, enable Mom to move a sleeping baby from car to house (or vice versa) without having to wake him. An adjustable car seat base installs and remains in the car for convenience. The carrier snaps into the base and unclips by lifting the lever behind its top. A level indicator on the side ensures parents that the car seat is locked into its base at the correct angle. The car seat is equipped with a five-point harness with a two-piece chest clip to hold baby snugly inside. Harness slots at two different heights allow the seat to grow with baby. A built-in 180-degree adjustable canopy shades baby from behind or rotates forward to darken in front of his face while sleeping; however, it is not wide enough to cover both areas at once. The ergonomic handle offers a comfortable grip and rotates to an upright position for carrying (although it sometimes gets hung up on the canopy during rotation). Best infant carrier!
This carseat is the best I've ever had! I love the 5-point harness and the sunshade. It is comfortable to carry and really convenient. Much better than other carriers I've tried. I would recommend the Snugride carseat to anyone.

Be Careful with the handle!
Overall I love this carseat but I found out today that I have been driving around with the handle in the wrong position. I have kept the handle in what the instructions refer to as the A position which is also the setting that you carry the seat in. After speaking to a police officer recently trained and certified in car seat installation/safety, he said the handle absolutely needs to be as far back as possible and provided a very strong arguement why. The manual that came with the seat is very ambiguous and does not specifically say this at all. I called Graco and suggested that this statement be added to the book for safety concerns and she argued that the seat was "tested" with the handle being up and it was fine.The officer I spoke to was adament that an infant could be in GRAVE danger if the handle is up in a crash. I think I am going to believe the police officer vs. the manufacturer! <
