Broken after 1 month's gentle use
I have only been using this seat a month, and it is already broken. The plastic connector between the seat and the base snapped. Therefore, I can no longer detach the seat from the base without great difficulty. This was a problem because I bought the seat more than 30 days ago and so can't return it to Amazon or BabiesRUs. Fortunately, it appears Graco will honor the warranty, but getting to this point was a pain! Their 1-800 number has short hours and they needed the model number which was on the bottom of the car seat. Since I can't detach the seat from the base, getting that number was tricky! I wish I'd written the model number in the owner's manual before the seat got stuck.

One other complaint: It is very easy to forget to put the handle in the safe position before driving. According to the manual, the handle positions that seem natural are unsafe. I don't know if any other car seat has a design that can help parents with this, but I'm going to look for one.

Easy to use!!! Highly recommend!!!
I purchased this infant car seat for my in-home daycare as I periodically have to transport infants. My number one concern with any product is safety. This car seat has ranked quite high in safety ratings. It comes equipped with L.A.T.C.H. and a 5 point harness. Directions for installing the seat are clear and concise(I find many parents who do not install the seats correctly). The level indicator ensures proper recline. The adjustable base greatly helps with installing the car seat.
My second concern is practicality. Graco has designed a highly efficient, easy to use seat. The car seat detaches effortlessly from the base. I found this to be a great feature (I previously had an Evenflo infant car seat and the latch was IMPOSSIBLE). The handle easily adjusts (I have no problem with this). The seat is lightweight and spacious. I too received an extra cover which was a nice surprise. The head support helps keep even my smallest babies secure. I purchased a Graco boot cover for the car seat which is great in the winter. Yes, it would be nice if this model had the adjustable harness button in the front like other Graco models, but this one is VERY easy to adjust from behind. Over the years, I have used numerous car seats and this is by far the best one I have used yet. (It is a dream to use with the matching DuoGlider as well).

Great for the hot weather
I only use Graco car seats, they are the best out there for your money. The cover is east to take off and wash, the material is great for hot days.
