Customer Reviews of Snakes on a Plane (Widescreen New Line Platinum Series)
MF'ing snakes on a mf'ing plane It wasn't as good as I thought, but Samuel L. Jackson is cool, so I would still recommend it. The problem with this movie was that there were three or four really campy scenes put in just to get cheap laughs. Unfortunately, these cheap laughs are so ridiculous that the pull you out of the suspense of the movie. If you like Samuel, it is worth watching, although I thought his part should have been bigger.
The title says it all
For all the hype about how "bad" (or "good" depending on how you look at it) Snakes On A Plane was going to be, it turned out to be a pretty decent film. Nothing amazing really, but also nothing like the planewreck one might imagine.

>On all accounts Snakes On A Plane delivers the goods. There's action, suspense, humor, and above all, lots of motha-f%$@ing snakes. Samuel L. Jackson's FBI agent is cool and hardcore, striving to maintain his unruffled demeanor even with a plane full of snakes hopped up on aggression-inducing pheromones.

>The added sex scene (featuring Taylor Kitsch, now famous for Friday Night Lights on NBC) is great R-rated fun (added in later in an attempt to give the blogging hype-makers what they were expecting). The CGI snakes look a little fake at times, but when there's hundreds of them, they can't all be perfect. What's most surprising is that nothing in this film is tongue-in-cheek. It's pretty much a straight forward action flick that got a lot of hype for the title. I'm not sure whether the hype ended up hurting or helping the film overall. It helps you look past the plot holes that most major action movies have. For example, if the "bad guys" are willing to kill everyone on the flight to make sure that one guy dies, and they can sneak a crate of snakes onto the plane, why not just sneak a bomb on there? Answer: then Samuel L. Jackson would never get to say: "I've had it with these motha-f%$@ing snakes on this motha-f$%@ing plane!" And believe me, that line is worth the entire film. It's beautiful.

>The DVD itself is a masterpiece as well. There's a blooper reel, deleted scenes, a music video (& making of), and several featurettes on the making of the film itself. One about the snake handler and the snakes, one about the CGI, one about the blogging craze, and one generally about the whole concept and creation of Snakes On A Plane. It's all great material.

>In the end, this is a film that should leave audiences feeling entirely satisfied. When you go to see a film called Snakes On A Plane, you should know what you're getting into. Now we just have to wait for the sequel: Snakes On ANOTHER Plane. I've got my tickets.
Entertaining, brainless fun....
Snakes on a plane pits the cast against two popular phobias: fear of flying and fear of snakes. In this case the snakes are a gift from a vengeful mobster.

>Despite the corny special effects, and the overacting by some characters I admit I kind of enjoyed this film. I liked Samuel L. Jackson, and the male flight attendant character, and the girl with the Chihuahua. Some of the snake bite scenes were a little silly (such as the scene where the heavy-set woman is bit), or the one woman who is bit in the mouth. Okay... Too fake.

>I thought this was a fun, but brainless horror film. The only improvement I would suggest would've been providing a slightly more interesting hook at the beginning. 3 stars.
