Customer Reviews of Slow Burn
The CD "Suede" is much better!! My advice is to buy the "Suede" CD.It beats this one so badly.
2 thumbs up for Chris Camozzi
Chris Camozzi is by far the best Jazz guitarist I have ever known. The "Slow burn" album is just excellent. Eventhough I only listened to his musics for merely 60 sec, they just sort of clicked with me. Midnight Rendezvous just took me to other zone !!
Once again, 2 thumbs up for "slow burn" !!!!
Slow Burn...............
You know, Chris Camozzi is a different type of guitarist. I mean, I've listened to the likes of Earl Klugh, Russ Freeman, Chuck Loeb, Norman Brown, Peter White, Al Dimeola, George Benson, Joyce Cooling, Jeff Golub, Lee Ritenour and Zachary Breaux just to name a few. The only individuals that come close in sound and possibly technique in my opinion would be that of Joyce Cooling, Earl Klugh and possibly Jeff Golub. Chris Camozzi has somewhat of a "light touch" on the strings which creates a refreshing sound. Honestly, the only reason why I decided to make this purchase was due inpart to the last track on this CD titled, "Swing Shift." I was pleasently surprised to find that the entire CD is actually very good. Don't get me wrong, it goes without saying that Chris Camozzi is very talented. Personally I think he's almost too relaxed or cautious on some of his tracks. At any rate, if you're looking for something that you can just sit back and relax to, then I'd say, buy it. If you're looking for some quick and firey riffs, you'd be better off listening to the likes of Al Dimeola, Lee Ritenour, Zachary Breaux or Russ Freeman. Overall, I'm satisfied with this one.
