Well on the vhs it says: it's a gangmember documentary, and that everyone has a dead homie. It says it's a documentary about gang violence and gang activity in South Central L.A. The film carries a powerful message for both gangmembers and society at large. Actual gangmembers participated in the filming.
The gangsters that are in this vhs are: B Brazy (a.k.a. Bex Brazy... this cat is on some of the Bloods & Crips, Damu Ridas rap cd's.), OG Ship (from Shotgun Crips), Pookie (shotgun crips), there are more, but i can't remember them all. It features members from Crenshaw Mafia (bloods), Shotgun Crips, and Rollin 60's Crips.
It's not a bad video if you are a collector or just want to learn. I do agree it was shot poorly, but not as bad as the blair witch project. It's a good video if you collect or are showin it to kids who are thinking about joining a gang. It's got some vulgarity so if you're showing it around 14 and under kids, you may want to watch it with them (for you parents out there). Good for criminal justice, psych./sociology majors, etc.... ppl who just want to learn or see gangsters... good for ppl who live out in the boonies or ppl who are wannabe gangsters... so they can see what they're doin wrong... and come correct.

It's not a bad video all in all, but i wish it would of had more members in it from other gangs... this film mostly has alot of bloods (air time) in it... i wanted to see more Crips... Similar videos to this are: Dead Homiez, Bullets Don't Have No Names, Prison Bound, Eight Tray Gangsters, Jacked Up, Playaz Court, Urban Jungle, Mi Vida Loca, and Barrio Boyz. (good luck in finding the ones i listed, cuase those are all rare too... try ebay.com there are some there.)

The gang tales are decent. I'm from Killa Kali, San Diego in fact and I got relatives from ckrenshaw mafia. Some of them fools, were acting a little too hard for the way they act daily in the hood. It does get a little touchy though when they call out Mack 10. It is not the way it should be, but they hoods really do not get along anyway, so there is gonna be beef. I really don't recommend this for the real bangers out there. This is a movie for the people who don't really know too much about gangs. The statistics are a little off top, but you know they always exaggerate when it come to bangin'. Most of the gangs are makin' up some stuff as they are going along, not sayin' it don't happen but just be a little bit more realistic wit it. It depicts SOME but not all of what L.A. and the surrounding area is like. Add it to your collection. Not the best, but better than alot of the other's. This one actually has real gangstas I've heard of, so I had to get it.

I found this video to really blow. It is just another scam to market gangs to children. On top of that the movie was cheaply made, The person who said it looked like the Blair witch project was right. The people they interviewed were idiots as well. The gang members did not know that the heck they were talking about, the statistics in the video were completely exagerrated, EXAMPLE: during this (45 to 60 minute) film...koreans will make millions to selling alcohol, ANOTHER, 300 something kids will join a gang and get arrested in the next 48 hours. ANOTHER, "there is over 300 crips and bloods gangs in L.A." NOT TRUE...there is 199. and so on and so on. They complained about white people not giving them jobs because they had long hair. The inteviewed some guy in his house who was drunk and said ... every other word. Then on top of it they offer a Crips and Bloods T shirts and Hats!!!!! The only advice from a man out of The heart of South Central, DONT BUY THIS. IT'S PATHETIC.
