Customer Reviews of Ski Patrol
It's a fun movie...I should know. I was there. It's a fun movie. I should know, I was there where it was filmed. The movie was filmed at the Alta Peruvian Lodge in Alta, Utah. Of course, that was only the location of the inside scenes but the movie was good overall. Of course, it was silly but it was very good for a Comedy. I even got to meet Ray Walston. One tip for you Actor chasers...if you want to be on good terms with an actor, don't ask him for his autograph. Just talk to him like a human being. Most of them don't want to talk to an "autograph hound". Hey it was worth it... go out to your local video store and rent the movie. Don't be surprised if this 1990 movie shows up at the local ski resort movie theaters during ski season!
great movie
This is an excellent movie where a silly ski patrol has to save their mountain from being taken over by a bad man (who totally wrecks his office with a basketball. The bad man tells the ski school that if they make the ski patrol fail the patrol passing test he will give them money. This is a heartwarming movie that gives you appreciation for the hard working ski patrolmen. so next time that you go skiing, thank ski patrolers and make sure that you watch out for punching puppets and skiing hot dog stands!!!! WATCH THIS MOVIE AND BUY IT TOO (because you will watch it over and over it again) (that was not a sales pitch, so watch this movie!!)
above average low budget comedy
If you like screwball movies like Spring Break and Meatballs, you'll probably love this one. The ski patrol has to save the resort from sabatoge and takeover by a rival developer. Mostly no-name actors except Martin Mull, who plays the bad guy. For those who follow stand up comedy in California, you'll get a special treat when you see a young George Lopez as one of the main characters. He's pretty good in this movie but way better at a comedy club.
