Customer Reviews of Simplicity High Chair in Silverado Print
Just A Place To Eat Yes, there are pros and cons to this high chair and all the others out there on the market too. But think about it....it's just a safe place for your baby to sit and eat. Your baby will not spend a whole lot of time out of each day in it (30-45 minutes max.). It's easy to use and easy to assemble. I for one thought it was a GREAT price for the product. We don't need the "Rolls Royce" of high chairs. It's just a plce to eat.
Bad design
It looks great but we should have done our homework on it before we bought. Our one was purchased two years ago but the design is sadly exactly the same.
Just to reiterate what other dissatisfied reviewers have said:
The seat back does not come up far enough to support an infant. You will need additional support to push them forward towards the table....
...The table when attached sits FAR too high. Why couldn't they have made the table thinner so it would be at a sensible height. Your child will have difficulty looking into the bowl of what they're eating. Unfortunately there's not a lot you can do about this, since adding cushion support will only crush the baby's legs on the underside of the table.
Do not be deceived by the sophisticated looks of this chair, buy a different one.
Chair leans back too far!!
This is just like all the other Evenflo High Chairs. I loved it also when I registered because of it's ability to fold up, the height adjustments, and other various operations. Sadly, the tray is not a reasonable height for my 31", 1 year, 2-month-old son. The seat is the biggest disappointment. My son grabs his food, then sits back to eat it, leaving a mess in the seat. There's about 5 inches of space between his chest and the seat, and the poor kid has to pull himself forward to eat, instead of being able to rely on the seat back. I'm seriously contemplating buying another one. I will not use this for future children.
