My son LOVES the DVDs... My son is 26 months old and we were introduced to this series by a friend. My son loved it so much that in the time we had to wait for his own copies to be delivered, he kept asking for "Peter Song" (The Silly Pizza Song) found in Volume 3. He was saying and signing the words "Candy", "Apple", "Cheese", "Bread", "Banana" over and over. When the DVDs arrived 2 days ago, my son screamed "TIMES!" and got so excited. However, he had to wait till evening before watching one. Since then, he has learnt more words "Train", "Bike" and so on. This is a lovely and highly recommended series. I'll definitely get more DVDs from this series in due course.
My 11-month-old LOVES it... and she's signing!
I was overwhelmed with the prospect of teaching sign language to my daughter (where to start, how to learn it myself and teach it, etc.) and someone recommended this DVD. It's great! This is the only DVD my 11-month-old will sit and watch. She loves the songs and watching all the kids do the signs. I sit with her and do the signs along with the DVD and she is mesmerized. After a few weeks of watching this (and doing the occasional sign during the course of our days) she is signing "more" "milk" and "cat." This really works and, equally important, it is entertaining for kids and tolerable for adults to watch.
It is a very cute and very effective concept.
My child has been watching "My baby can talk" for a few months without signing back. The 1st time he watched "Signing Times", he started to sign with a lot of enthusiasm!
