Customer Reviews of Sherlock Holmes: Creeping Man
The Simple Case of a Peeping Tom or Is It...?? +++++ <
> <
>This movie is based on the story "The Adventure of the Creeping Man" (1923) by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle (1859 to 1930). <
> <
>In this movie, Holmes (Jeremy Brett) is asked to solve the mystery of a Peeping Tom that appeared at night in the bedroom window of a professor's daughter (Sarah Woodward). The professor (Charles Kay) is a person who is an expert on primates (apes, monkeys, etc.) <
> <
>Dr. Watson (Edward Hardwicke) sees this case as one that is not fit for Holmes but Holmes is intrigued because the window is on the second floor and there is no obvious way someone could scale the wall to reach this window. Holmes concludes that "The prowler who looked in upon [the professor's daughter] is no ordinary creature." <
> <
>Two important clues to look for are the strange behavior of the normally docile family dog and the "monkey thefts" that have been occurring. <
> <
>This movie's ending totally surprised me (and might even seem strange to some viewers). It reminded me of an Edgar Allen Poe story or, more accurately, of a famous short novel written by Robert Louis Stevenson. <
> <
>Jeremy Brett does a good job capturing the essence of the famous gumshoe in his performance. I have to also give my nod to the strong performance of Charles Kay as the professor. <
> <
>Finally, the props, costumes, cinematography, and background music for this movie are quite well done. <
> <
>In conclusion, this is a different kind of Sherlock Holmes movie that I'm sure any viewer will find intriguing!! <

Creeping Man
Where do I begin in explaining this story?!?! oh, i know. it was the dumbest book man kind has ever written. But i'm 15, so what would i know? not a lot right? well i do know when i like something...and this i do not like. but if your a science geek and you like science fiction then this just may be the book for you!!!!!!!!!!
A horror and science- fiction novel!
This Jermey Brett Sherlock Holmes story is a little stupid! The ending is kind of interesting but this is a creepy film. An ape appears on a woman's window and she goes to Sherlock Holmes to find out what's going on. This is definately a science- fiction film!
