Customer Reviews of Sexual Intrigue
Run-of-the-mill softcore that could have been much better. Sexual Intrigue is a very average and easily forgettable softcore flick. It isn't bad, but it isn't good either. The plot revolves around a Charlie, who has just been released from serving a year in prison. His girlfriend's ex-boyfriend gets him a job working for some rich woman, who gets him involved in some stupid plan to kidnap her stepdaughter and get money from her rich husband. <
> <
>Throughout all this, we get eight sex scenes. All are boy/girl. Kira Reed (the girlfriend) participates in three of the scenes, Kim Dawson (the rich woman) also participates in three, and Zette Sullivan (the stepdaughter) participates in two. All the women are attractive do a good job in the sex scenes. But the sex scenes all range from poor to just decent. All are too short and a little too tame. <
> <
>It's a shame. In the hands of a better production team, the story and cast could have been better utilized. There were several scenes in the movie that were just long, pointless shots of someone driving down a highway or sitting on a deck and staring at the beach. That all should have been cut out and the time used to lengthen the sex scenes. Also, there are three times in the movie where it appears that two people are going to get it on with each other. But then the action just stops and we go to the next scene. Stuff like that is really annoying. <
> <
>Anyway, unless you are a huge fan of either Kira Reed or Kim Dawson, I don't recommend this one.
Intrigued at the movie cover
This is your typical soft porn. Wasn't very erotic and very predictable. The girl on the cover is very familiar, but never appears in the movie. That was why I bought it because I remembered the woman on the cover of the movie, but she is not even IN the movie.

>Don't waste $$ on this one. Just go rent a real X.
Not That Good!
When It comes to Softcore, Erotic, Softporn, or whatever you want to call them, flicks, I have fairly low standards. Give me a well filmed movie with attractive shapely girls and a modicum of a story and I'm in tall cotton. Heck, skip the story and I'm still all right, but don't give me a corny or disingenuous story. I'm afraid that's just what we have in Sexual Intrigue.

>Charlie Taylor played by Eric Acsell, has been unexpectedly released early from prison after serving only one year. While at his girlfriend (Kira Reed) Randi's house, the District Attorney, Carl Olsen ,(Daniel Anderson) who not only put Charlie away but is Randi's ex-boyfriend, gives a reluctant Charlie the name of someone who will give him a job.
<
>
<
>That someone is Emma (Kim Dawson), the wife of an extremely wealthy businessman named Lance De Layle. Taylor soon finds out that the purpose of his employment is not to do odd jobs but to deliver a ransom note to Mr De Layle about his daughter Michelle, (Zette Sullivan) and apparently to make love to both women. The kidnapping, which is to be faked, was concocted between Emma and Michelle. Taylor was make the necessary phone calls and if necessary pick up the million dollar ransom.

>Charlie Taylor is no fool. He knows that Emma and Michelle could be setting him up for some kind of fall but aren't they as culpable as he, more really, since it was their plan. He doesn't really want to be involved but a third of a million dollars is tempting and he could fulfill his dream of running away to Mexico with Randi. Then there's the fact that both Emma and Michelle have seduced him. They could tell Randi. Little by little he gets sucked in until he's trapped.

>Conclusion
<
>
<
>It takes a leap of faith to accept the premises foisted upon the viewers in this ludicrously contrived plot. The story has more holes in it than a rural stop sign in Bubba country and the credibility gap wider than the Grand Canyon.
<
>
<
>In order to resign yourself to the basis of the movie you have to allow that:
<
>
<
>~ Unemployed, ex con, Charlie Taylor is more appealing than, Randi's, still friend, District Attorney, Olsen.
<
>
<
>~ Everyone in the De Layle household called Emma, Mr's De Layle, with the Mr.'s knowledge while the real Mrs. De Layle was in Europe.
<
>
<
>~ The girl living in the De Layle residence was not the real daughter and no one, except Emma, including her own father knew.
<
>
<
>~ The District Attorney and Mr. De Layle chose Charlie to deliver the money.
<
>
<
>~ Charlie discovers, Michelle has been murdered with one of his carpenter tools, while trying to deliver the ransom to her in the Beach house.
<
>
<
>~ When he returns with Randi to show her the body and explain the money he has and the trouble he's in the body is gone and no evidence of the murder remains.
<
>
<
>Well suffice it to say that things are really heating up and I don't want to give the thrilling denouement away. (sarcasm) so let's talk about the actors, acting and sex scenes.

<
>I'd seen Eric Acsell before, in a bit part really, in the Playboy production Web of Seduction. He's kind of a free spirit type, tall average looking, long hair. He did alright in this film, I give him a B. Kira Reid, while not a beauty, has a pleasant appearance and a very nice body. Her acting was a C+ and Daniel Anderson, who is Kira's husband in reality, I give a C+ as well. With Kim Dawson, who played a blonde bombshell, I wasn't impressed with her acting ability or her appearance. I give her a C- for both. Last was the girl who played the daughter, Zette Sullivan. She's diminutive with short dark red hair. She played a rebellious, quirky part. She's sexy in her own way but not well endowed. I give her a C+.

>The sex scenes - I believe the were eight - were average in every way. They were obviously simulating whatever they were performing and there was little passion in their acting. Kira Reid did pretty good in the opening sex scene but lapsed somewhat, after that.
