Customer Reviews of Sesame Street Bobble n' Go Elmo Mirror
Really cute but not trouble-free I love this mirror. It's really cute and my 6 month old smiles at it when we buckle her in the car. And once positioned correctly it gives me a nice quick view of what's going on. And it's small enough that it doesn't interfere with visibility while driving. However, it has it's flaws. Like other reviewers have said, it is hard to figure out how to install. It does seem to be made to use with cars with headrests (which my Ford Contour and Toyota Camry do not have) but you would never know since it doesn't come with any clear instructions. I've looked online and everything and can't find anything showing proper installation. We've ended up taking safety pins and sticking it though one of the straps into the flat area behind the back seats and then using the velcro to adjust the angle of the mirror. It works OK, but inevitably the pins come out and Elmo's funny but heavy head tend to cause the mirror shift about. I still like owning it, but wish they'd come up with a more flexible installation design for other vehicles and at least some clear instructions.
I really like this mirror...
I am very aware of the danger that most car mirrors pose in an accident. This one, however, has a hook to secure it to the tether anchor in my 2001 Ford Taurus. The mirror, once adjusted correctly, hasn't moved and has provided me with peace of mind while driving around with my little one. It's true that the mirror is kind of fuzzy, but I'm just using it for quick glances into the back seat, not to tweeze my brows. Elmo's head has never bobbed for us, but my daughter doesn't seem to notice or care, definitely doesn't detract from the cute, yet safe, mirror!
