This 21-jewel, automatic watch winds itself with the motion of your wrist, so you’ll never need to change the battery. It has a stainless steel case and features a black dial with three-hand function, easy-to-read bar markers, and an English/Spanish day/date window at the three o’clock position. Additional features include a screw-down case and crown, a scratch-resistant Hardlex crystal, and a one-way rotating bezel that keeps track of elapsed time. With its Lumibrite hands, markers, and bezel, this watch is easy to read in both light and dark conditions. The watch secures to a comfortable, extra-long, pressure-vented urethane strap that fastens with a buckle closure. Designed for diving, this watch is water-tested to 200 meters. It meets ISO standards and is suitable for scuba diving.

First of all its a great looking watch...but you should know it was made in Malaysia with Malaysia movement. The wrist band was made in China. Calibre #7S26-0028 engrave in the back. Is it me or do all SKX173 made in Malaysia??
 Excellent automatic
The important thing to remember is that this is an Automatic watch, as stated by other reviewers: It won't keep time as precisely as a quartz watch, and you need to wear it every other day to keep it running. If you can live with that, this watch is about the best diving, sport, rugged use non-digital watch I have owned. I have also owned Seiko's quartz dive watch, which is also a fine timepiece. I like the larger size and heft of this watch and it feels perfect on my wrist. It can really take a beating and look like-new for years. I wear it to work with a suit, and get compliments on it frequently, although there are better dress watches out there. My opinion is that every may should own at least one automatic watch, and Seiko's automatic movement watches are very affordable and make a good starting point to explore more expensive Swiss automatics if you feel so inclined. I have had plenty of Swiss watches too, and have never found them to be more durable, reliable, or accurate than my Seikos, if this is worth anything to you. I enjoy fine Swiss timepieces, but more than that I admire good value, and I cannot honestly see a better value in a tough and durable, worry-free automatic, than this model Seiko. Amazon's price, of course, is the best around and their service is top-knotch. If I have a choice, I buy watches directly from Amazon rather than Marketplace sellers, as I feel that Amazon's return policy is more generous, but this is my opinion.
My favorite watch ...
Superb. This is my first watch with a rubber strap and I find it very comfortable. If I had to give up all of my watches except one, this is the one I would keep :) Gains about 2 minutes a week, but I don't mind setting the time occasionally.
