A slice of our own family history At Uncle Manny's 75th birthday celebration, we gathered the family around to watch this documentary program. It was fun to learn more about my husband's Italian heritage. And even more fun to watch his family pick out their relatives and friends.
The program did a good job of presenting community history on a personal level. And it made clear how easy it is to lose one's heritage. But if it weren't for the personal link to the subject matter, I don't think the program would have been half as interesting. I suppose that's true of all nostalgic pieces.
