Customer Reviews of Scientific Evidence For God
A Tale of Two Videos I have to say that I am disappointed in general with this video. It seems as if there are two separate presentations going: one in which Fred Heeren is interviewing top scientists, and one in which he is making some bad jokes and advertising his products.
Depending on what you expect upon viewing this video, you may be pleasantly surprised, very annoyed, or maybe both. I would not necessarily recommend this video, but I do not wish to say that it is without total merit.
It could have been a great work, but it may be that Mr.Heeren is trying to please two different audiences, and I would recommend that two separate videos would accomplish this better. The basic principles put forth are fine, but the overall presentation is disappointing.
Shockingly Bad
I can barely find words to describe how disappointing this video was. It takes a single argument – that the universe is too “finely tuned” to have been anything but created by God – and talks about it for 29 minutes. There is no evidence. There is no logic. There are very few scientists. I am a skeptic who purchased the video in an effort give “the other side” a chance to plead its case. I paid [good money] to watch a man ask a dog if it ever looks up in the sky at night and wonders about life’s big questions. (Yes, I’m seriously describing a scene from this video.) I watched the same mane ask several people on the street if they spent more time thinking about life’s big questions, or opening their junk mail. I watched the same man plug his newsletter and give the number for subscriptions. And for about 10 minutes of the video I heard him essentially repeat that the universe is too “finely tuned” to be chance. Hardly “Scientific Evidence for God.” I have rarely been this disappointed in a book or video on any subject.
