Customer Reviews of Samsung HLS5088W 50 In 1080P DLP - Selec
Poor TV with very poor customer service. The tv only worked for a little over two weeks then it went dead. I have been dealing with their customer service for over 2 months with no resolution. They keep promising to send someone to fix it, but they never do!!!! They then promised a new tv, only to go back on their word and say they can order a part that will fix a problem (even though they have never been to my house to see the problem).
Good image quality, POOR customer service
First, I'd like to say, Samsung DLP TV's do produce good image quality, but what's the sense of having an expensive "paperweight" if the company that manufactures it doesn't provide support?????

>From "day one" I had a "lemon" and Samsung's slow response only backs up my case. After 13 months of having this "lemon" of a TV (I went through THREE tuners within this TV), Samsung said they'd replace it with a newer model with the same features my original had. Six weeks after Samsung promised to send a replacement, I find that they sent the bottom of the line model with the features lacking on the model I had, such as CABLE CARD, PIP & TV GUIDE. The cable card was the most important feature.

>It took almost two hours, on the phone with Samsung, to finally get a verbal "yes" to getting the correct model shipped out to me. I'll wind up posting, in the future, as to what's transpired, to help those who are somewhat interested in Samsung for their future purchasing desire.
