Customer Reviews of Samantha Fox: Just One Night
...and when your botty touches my botty.... Sam Fox's effort in the 90's were a slide from her 80's popularity with albums like 'Touch Me' and "I Wanna have some Fun". However, devoted fans kept her going and afloat, at least in Europe. Samantha didn't have the best songwriters, but with a face and body like hers, music videos can be starring her can be enjoyed by anyone into heavy metal, thrash, classical or jazz. I mean she really is that hot. For eye candy alone 'Hurt me, hurt me' is worth the price of admission.
This video continues in the tradition of the home video she released before this containing all her videos up to 'Love House'. There are grainy interviews where we hear the word straight from the Fox's mouth. Unfortunately we also have to put up with the 'Full Force Idiot Crew', but that's why we have the FF button on the remote.
So different...
The VHS "Just one night" by Samantha Fox is very entertaining. The video is built up into 3 sections, the first section is the interview part together with the producers of the album "Just one night", Full Force. Herein, it becomes obvious how well-spoken Ms. Fox is and how she succeeds in supporting her standpoint in the production process of her music very convincingly. The topic is here mainly the production and singing for the album "Just one night". But also Sam's personal development from her second album and first hit album "Touch me" to her sixth album "Just one night" becomes relevant. U can also see Sam sing live in the studio and it sounds very pleasant. The second section is a monologue of Sam in which she tells the story about her relationship to her parents and how important they have actually been in her the development of career. Ms Fox unambiguously states that she wants to be more involved in her work and less dependent on producers and image-makers. The third section consists of 3 videoclips, the first one is "Hurt me! Hurt me! But the Pants Stay On"(a song that combines hiphop with dance), which is a fabulous video that combines modern dance in a multicultural club - by the way, most Sam Fox videoclips are multicultural and are enriched with dancers or actors of all imaginable origins - with the style of an Indian silent film of the 1920s. The next videoclip is "Just one night"(a slow sensuous RnB track), a very sexy video that shows Sam's diva side as well as Sam's gorgeous humour. The last video is "Another woman (too many people)"(a fresh pop song) that shines of humour and freshness and pure blue water. The entire VHS is surrounded by some jokes by Sam which are definitely a good laugh, especially the ones with the glasses and "a lot of maths goin' on there" is absolutely a blast!
Sam goes Orient!
"Just one night" is a very entertaining video of Sam. I like the interview which shows more about the personalitly of Sam, it's very interesting to hear her speak. The videoclips are great and especially "Hurt me! Hurt me! But the pants stay on" is unique. This clip plays in India and is build up like an Indian silent film of the 1920s. The idea is great! The other clips and the life performance are very well-made, too.
