Don't Miss This Gorgeous Journal! The stories and poems in this issue of Salt Hill are marvelous. Jenny Steele's short story "The Heart Has Corners" should not be missed - it's a mere 15 pages, but within it are several beautifully linked parts - an archaeological site in Arizona to a toy factory in Pittsburgh to a sunken Russian submarine - very clever and with a fulfilling ending that brings all the disparate elements together. Lovely! Tired of disappointing reads? Give Salt Hill a try - don't despair because, yes, there is good writing in the world!
