OK tub
I got this tub for my baby since we have an apartment and no extra room and I liked that it folds for storage. That is my favorite feature... I usually fold it up and tuck it behind the bathroom door. The foam lining is nice... I feared it would peel up or break where it bends to fold but it's held up just fine. I like the plug feature... it makes emptying the tub very easy and it's completely leak-proof. Because of the folding feature, however, you can overfill the tub without realising it. There is VERY LITTLE water in the tub when it's at its limit, which is fine for my baby who prefers cool baths and fresh air. If your baby has to stay really warm and covered, he will not like this tub. The first few baths I filled the tub to what I thought was a reasonable level and didn't realize that the puddle I had to clean up afterwards was from overflowing. My baby does not like the recline... she would be happier if it wasn't laid back so far, but that could just be her preference. I wish there was a curve to the back so she couldn't slide around as much... it's very hard to keep her head from sliding to the side of the tub and resting on the hard corner. I use washcloths to try to keep her upright. Overall, this is a very serviceable tub. It does the job and doesn't cost much or take up tons of space. There is lots of room for improvement but it's fine for a $10 tub!

I used this with kid#2. Even as a newborn, he seemed too big(born at 7.12) He would slide all over even when held and even would slide down with his back ending up on the butt gap. Then cause of the folding gap, water poured out with every movement he made, no matter how little water I put in it. Also, the water level it holds(min. or max.) was so low that his poor little parts were way above the waterline. Boys tend not to like cold down there. To be wet then above the water just didn't work. I ended up using this hammock-on-a-frame type thing I got for #1 when she was little and bathed him in a regular tub. Made it alot easier to wash his hair too since he was leaning back. I would not recommend this one to anyone. With the trouble and effort, you are better of cradling them in your arms over the tub. same amount of support/lack of water/one handedness

I had this very same tub 5 years ago for my daughter. It worked out great, to answer the age old question about newborns slipping and sliding, well this tub doesnt come with a sling or sponge to place the newborn in for the 1st couple of weeks or so until you or baby can get that pefect grip. It only cost like $4.00 or so to buy a sponge or sling to add to it. Personally I never did have one of those for my daughter and the tub worked just fine. I recently got this tub again for a shower gift for my 2nd child, and I am so happy for it, because I know the tubs potential, it will grow with your child. It fits in the kitchen sink perfectly, it doesn't leak if you don't overfill the tub. I used the tub until my 5 yr old was 9 months old or so when she was ready for the tub tub, I plan on doing the same for my new baby.
