Customer Reviews of Safety 1st Simple Step Diaper Pail
keeps smells in! I have been using this pail for 6 months and love it I use regular small trash bags 4.00 from grocery store and I don't have to empty it every day b/c it holds in odors really well. Only have to caution if your LO get's a lot of poopies in one day. then it may be a problem but for 10 dollars it is the best!!
ok at first
We used this diaper pail and thought it was great...at first. Our son is now 9 months old and the smell from the dirty diapers has permeated the plastic and now it always stinks. We tried deo disks, baking powder, carpet cleaning powder, pine-sol, plug-in right over it...but nothing has worked. We even tried putting each messy diaper in one of the sassy bags and that helps with the new scents but nothing will get rid of the old. May work well if you use the scented bags for each diaper combined with this from the very beginning. And to whoever said that baby poo doesnt smell bad...just wait...it will :)
Wet pail for cloth diapering...
I'm currently using this as a wet pail for my toddlers cloth diapers. So far it's been wonderful. There's no place for it to leak because the white base portion is solid. The lid design is wonderful and you can put deo-disks (or scrap fabric with essential oil) in the top portion. It's on the small side yes, so that means even with a toddler I end up doing diaper laundry ever 2 days tops which is just better anyhow. For $10 you can't really go wrong. :)
