Customer Reviews of Safety 1st Bouncing Baby Play Saucer
SUPER! I had originally gone to Target to get the excersaucer Mega. But upon putting my 4 months old into it found her to fit just perfectly in it in the highest setting, not going to last. So I chose this one and glad I did. Like I said she was 4 months old at 25 inches and her tippy toes hit the bottom enough to spin. She's 11 months now and is still only on the second height level. That said it is a bit tall for short babies, but will last you longer than the exersaucer in the long run. The toys are ok. My baby couldn't really reach them at 4 months but the track on it made a great place to put all of her favorite toys. She played in this all day up to 8 months, she still uses it now at 11 months but an hour max. The track is also a great place to put a sippy cup and favorite snacks as baby gets older. I haven't had any trouble w/ paint coming off and she used this at least 4 hours a day. This is an absolute must have for stay at home moms who need the extra time to clean or whatever. Best baby sitter! Overall I chose this saucer because my daughter was tall at 4 months and it was a multi-task toy turning into a race track later on.
Great fun, but could use one improvement
I fell in love with this product when I saw it at a friend's house. I recently purchased it for my 5 mo old nephew and he absolutely LOVES it! I purchased this one as opposed to some others, because of it's ability to convert to a race track for the entertainment of older children (and my nephew's father).
The only complaint I have is that it's a bit too tall. Even on its lowest setting, most babies under 7 mo old are unable to touch the base with their feet. If Safety 1st would lower its height by approximately 3 inches, it would easily earn a 5 star rating!
We Love This!
I looked around for quite a while before purchasing this play saucer for my daughter. We don't have allot of space and needed something that didn't take up too much room. This play saucer is 28 inches in diameter which is a bit smaller than most. I also like the colors and the toys. Most of the other play saucers are just so garish. The seat rotates with ease and the fabric wipes off easily. My daugther was 5 months old when we first purchased this. She was in the 20th percentile for her size and we had to place two phone books taped together under her feet so she could reach the bottom. (If this saucer had another lower height setting I would give it 5 stars.) The phone books seemed to work just fine for her however. They are heavy enough not to move around too much. My dughter did not seem to have any trouble reaching the toys. She is now 8 months old and still loves this play saucer. I think it will work for us for quite awhile longer. She is starting to crawl and usually makes a beeline for the play saucer.
