Royal Worcester's Days of the Week collection of earthenware keepsakes appeals to those with a Victorian penchant. Designed by illustrator Jenny Barnard, this eight-inch plate showcases an old-fashioned toy merry-go-round (complete with on/off switch) painted in subdued shades of blue, red, green, and yellow. Vintage teddy bears, blocks, sailboats, and hobbyhorses prance around the pale yellow border. Printed across the plate is the phrase, "But the child born on the Sabbath day is fair and wise and good and gay," from the popular children's rhyme.

Crafted in England of high-quality earthenware, the plate is sturdy enough for older children to use for a sandwich or heating up a scoop of macaroni and cheese in the microwave. The individualized plate might even induce Sunday's child to place it in the dishwasher for easy clean-up.
