Definitely worth the money!
After doing extensive research about car seats, everything that my husband and I read pointed to this seat as the safest. We weren't totally convinced at first because we wondered if it was really worth the extra money....how different could it be from the rest of the less expensive ones? We decided to get it after talking with the person at the store. We have the previous model that wasn't LATCH equipped, but it's the same seat other than that. I couldn't be happier with that decision. This seat was so easy to install and get a really good fit. When we took it to be inspected, the officer didn't even need to change anything. It has the clips built in to clip the seat belt in place. The velcro that holds the belts to the side are nice when trying to get baby in and out. When my mother wanted to get a car seat for her car, she got a cheaper one. My husband tried to install it and couldn't get a good fit. Then it was taken to the police station, and he had a hard time getting a good fit. Then when we tried to put my son in it, we had a heck of a time getting the straps tight enough. We ended up taking that one back, and getting another one at the same price. We had similar problems with that one. So, my point is that, you really do get what you pay for and this car seat is most definitely worth the money. I would spend the money again if I had to, to ensure the safety of my son.

Well Worth the Money
I hesitated in spending the extra money for this Cadillac of car seats but decided that my daughter was worth it. I'm very glad I did. The seat is well made and works equally well with and without LATCHES. I also found it easier than most to install and get a tight fit (although the tether can be difficult to anchor for rear facing installation). The seat is big and comfortable and my daughter seems to enjoy riding in it. Despite the price, I think it's a good value because you're child can stay in it longer than most. My daughter is still rear facing at 16 months and she's 25 lbs. and 34 inches. You can't beat that! A couple words of caution, however. This seat is not made for small cars. It fits very well in our Buick but in my Tercel, I couldn't push my seat all the way back (which I need to do). Also, in the summertime, all that extra insulation that keeps your baby safe, also keeps her a bit hot. Even in the AC, baby was quite sweaty. Also, the straps seemed to cut into the sides of her neck but that could be how it is with all car seats. We solved that problem with inexpensive pads/wraps. That being said, I'm a True Believer. We loved it so much we went out and bought a second one for our other car.

Love this seat
We never realized how much we liked our Roundabout until we purchased a different seat for my husband's car.
We needed another carseat...it was getting old switching the Roundabout between two cars. After doing much research, we decided to purchase the Evenflo Triumph 5, because it too had excellent ratings (both customer and crash test) for a lot less money. After using the Evenflo in his car for the past couple of months, we are VERY sorry we didn't just spent the extra money and purchase another Roundabout! The Roundabout is much easier to use! And our 14 month old daughter appears more comfortable in this seat than the Evenflo. We highly recommend this seat!
