Customer Reviews of Robotech Remastered - Volume 1 Extended Edition
Awesome drama Robotech (the Macross) is the best anime ever created because of the awesome story and drama. Sure there are better drawn animes these days, but I have not seen any cartoon or anime that can match the level of Robotech in the way the story unfolds through 36 episodes. It is even better than most TV dramas. If you can look beyond the fact that this is a "cartoon" made for "kids", you will be moved and touched by the story of Robotech. Robotech covers the theme of human culture and love in the midst of a war against the aliens. The Remastered Edition has much improved sound and colors. Although there is inconsistency in the drawings, the voice acting and dialogue in Robotech are excellent. In fact, I prefer Robotech over the original Japanese TV series called Macross because of the voice acting, especially for Rick Hunter who is the main character. If you haven't watched it, check it out. Most people will enjoy it. There is a reason why there is a huge cult over an anime that was shown in 1985.
Para coleccionistas!
Bueno, que puedo decir... Excelente!

Warning: This show contains no adult themes
Let me begin by saying that I only sat through the first episode of this series before throwing in the towel. Some might argue that I have no business writing a review for Robotech based on my admittedly limited experience. But I would hazard to guess that these people are idiots. Idiots who will immediately dismiss any criticsm of this series, no matter how thoroughly researched. Therefore, I'm writing this review to spite them.

>This show is for kids. The characters are incapable of uttering anything remotely offensive. I'm sure the words, "Golly" and "Gee-wiz" are about as close as they come to articulating any feelings of anger.

>Furthermore, I couldn't stop wanting to choke Rick Hunter with that fruity-tooty silk tie that he wore around his neck. What's up with that? There's an insterstellar war a brewin' and this fop is the best pilot we've got. That speaks volumes about the rest of this series.

>I started watching anime because I wanted to see shows that defied the childish conventions of ordinary Saturday morning drivel. I don't want to watch G.I. Joe or Transformers where the worst injury suffered is a nose bleed, or where the "ruthless" villains cringe at the idea of taking a human life. Robotech is bull$#!+.
