Customer Reviews of Richard Scarry's Busytown
Great deal- fun Busytown times! I got this for dirt cheap, $4, but it is worth at least 3 times that price. Although I have a Mac, the disc runs fine (in OS 9) and my preschooler loves it. Adorable R. Scarry illustrations and a variety of fun activities.
My Grandson will love it
I know my 2 1/2 year old grandson will love this Christmas present, but it does have some bugs.
<
>On my Windows XP when you try to put out the fire, the game pops back to the previous screen. If I reduced the screen size by pushing F12 it won't do that.
<
>There is also a problem when you blow the clouds over the sun in the wind segment. The screen is filled with horizontal lines. That too is corrected by reducing the screen size.
<
>I would like him to be able to play the game without reducing the screen size, so if anyone has another solution please let me know.
<
>Even with these problems it's still a good game.
Cute Game
We had and older DOS version of this game and discovered it didn't work with Windows XP. This version works great on XP. My daughter has been playing this off and on since she was 2, she's 4 now.

>I'd recommend it for teaching mouse skills to young kids, though a couple of the games are too hard for her still. There's a number of games she's played over and over again and seems to enjoy.
