Customer Reviews of Resident Evil.10th Aniversary Colection
Not Worth Buying One of the worst things about these game is the gameplay. All of the Resident Evil games have some of the worst game control of any game, with the exception of Resident Evil 4. It was such a relief that Capcom changed the gameplay for Resident Evil 4. Usually when a gaming company redesigns the format of a video game, it is usually for the worse. However Resident Evil 4 is the exception to the rule. I actually finished a Resident Evil game for the first time ever. Story means very little if controlling the character is a full time job. Every game should have a hook and this series does have it. But in order to keep some interested the game must be playable. You shouldn't get a headache because you can't hardly move. The only game in this series worth buying is Resident Evil 4. And you can get it much cheaper by itself. Hopefully when Resident Evil 5 comes out in June, Capcom will stick with the same sort of game engine that they used for 4. If they revert back the the old style of gameplay I'm afraid I will never buy 5.
Huh...
Ok... Near the bottom of the reviews is one which makes a relevant if... obstentious statement. He points out that while each of these games are worth five stars, the box set is basically a sales gimic to keep people reminded that Resident Evil exists. In a sense... he is right.

>Having only missed playing the Playstation Resident Evil but playing everything else, I feel the point of the other reviewer is valid in one way. Resident Evil has very little cross-over appeal. You either love it or hate it. Only Resident Evil 4 really managed to go beyond its roots of weird camera angles and convoluted puzzles. Because there is little cross-over appeal, it is safe to say that the people who like Resident Evil have probably already bought all of these titles. Sure... its a great collection of great games. But for this to be a valid product for the many people who either already own them or are newly interested in Resident Evil there needs to be more. Much more. The inclusion of the Prima guides would be nice. Some production notes or developer interviews could help too. Even the addition of the two Resident Evil movies, which also have some trouble crossing over, could have amped this package up.

>So... unlike the other reviwer I give this package a 5 BECAUSE all the games are 5's in my mind. BUT! I do agree with him that Capcom is squeezing a dry rag on this. Adding some "extras" would have made me want this IN SPITE of owning all the games already. As it is... I hope it sells well enough to get Resident Evil 5 out all the faster... if ever.
Not worth $60
This collection is absolutely great. But to the people selling it for $60 or more, you're ripping people off. This game only costs $40 brand new from gamestop.
