Best show ever
Every single one of these episodes is the best thing ever.
HOWEVER, I have a question for you people. What episode is it where ren and stimpy are stranded on the island and they have to make a home out of the beached sperm whale, and then they have to move out because it becomes full of maggots? That is my favorite and i don't know the name of it.
The Greatest Thing Nick' Ever Produced
I can't believe how relatively short-lived this one-of-a-kind series was compared to most of Nickelodeon's contrived and un-enthralling entries like As Told by Ginger and The Wild Thornberrys. This show was the greatest slapstick, tongue-in-cheek extravagganza since the Marx Brothers and Three Stooges in their heyday. Some critics brand this eternal gem about a high-strung chihuahua and his hair-brained feline pal as juvenile, moronic, and violent, but if you think about it, so were Bugs Bunny cartoons. That's why they're funny! And why they've endeared themselves to our public conscience in such an indellible fashion. And let me say something else. Ren & Stimpy premiered when I was seven years old (I'm nineteen now), and I can say with undeniable certainty that THIS program is directly responsible for my lifelong love-affair with classical music. What other program has made such breathtaking and directly visual use of Dvorak's New World Symphony, or Tchaikovsky's Romeo & Juliet Fantasy Overture? In fact, if you listen carefully, throughout the course of one single episode, a different, great cue of classical music is played almost every five seconds! Can we forget how they used the Andante movement from Mozart's 21st Piano Concerto in the bathtub scene of Space Madness? I think not! Anyway, just some food for thought. And when is this show going to be brought to us on DVD? Thanks, and keep watching!
