Customer Reviews of Recalled Item: Neat Seat Highchair - French Bear
Its okay, but.... We registered for this highchair because of the recline feature, wheels, toys on the tray and because it was cute. However, being first time parents, we overlooked some of the flaws of the chair.
While the seat cover is adorable, functional it is not. My son is now 6 months old, and while it worked great for a play chair and for feeding him cereal it is definitely starting to show wear with carrots, green beans and baby biscuits. I am afraid to wash the pad of the chair every day because I don't want it to just fall apart but it truly does need to be washed every day in order for me to feel that it is sanitary enough for my son to eat off it.
The next gripe that I have with this chair is the tray. Latching the tray is a big problem. The one-handed release has never worked, but I expected that to be the case because a friend of ours has the Double-Tray from Graco and between her and the other reviewers I was well warned. However, even the two-handed release doesn't always latch onto the chair. It sticks, and then takes a good ten minutes to bang back into the hole on the side of the chair for the tray to be locked on securely.
There are some pros to this chair, and that is why I gave it three stars. The toys are wonderful, and I love that you can remove them when it is time to eat and easily replace them when its time to play. The wheels have proven invaluable time and time again, and the recline and height adjustments work wonderfully as long as the baby is not in the highchair.
Despite the pros of the highchair however, we are looking to replace it with a more functional highchair and move this one to grandma's. My top choices are either of the Fisher Price chairs or the Baby Trend chair.

I dont use the chair to feed my son yet he is only a month so I still hold him. But its set up in the kitchen. When my son is fussy before or while I am making or warming his bottles I place him in the chair and he stops fussing. Reclined is like the perfect posion for him. He just sits there and watches me as happy as can be. But it was a bit of a pain to put together. The legs dont slide in as easy as the directions say. But once thats done its well worth it. I belive you get your moneys worth with this. Also when his grandma baby sits while I am at work she rolls him around and he just coo's at her happy as can be.
HATE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This highchair is just terrible. I rolled my son over a carpet on the floor and is broke right in half and he fell right over in it! It is completely UNSAFE! Please do not buy this product!
