Easy and comforting exersise fit fot seniors The ROM Dance: A Range of Motion Exercise and Relaxation Program is a medical model therapeutic system designed for people with pain and other physical limitations. It was created in 1981 at St. Marys Hospital Medical Center in Madison,
I bought it for my 69-year-old mother, who should do some exercise but can't do because of her knee pain and depredating eye-site. Since she can't understand English, I viewed it and practice it myself first. The program itself is only for 7 minutes (the video itself is around 45 minutes long). It contains explanation of the exercise, short demonstration, scene from group exercise of aged people in hospitals and detailed explanation.
The movement is easy and very gradual movement, but it's very comforting. It includes a kind of image training such as "Imagine, you are at the seasidec" and it would be a bit difficult to follow for non-English-speaking people like my mother.
