Works but not well
I purchased this monitor because my baby refuses to sleep on her back. I installed the monitor EXACTLY as stated in the instructions and everything worked. Then when I went back 2 hours later to put her to bed the parent monitor wouldn't show her movement and the sound lights were almost completely lit even when it was at the lowest level of sensitivity. I ended up having to use my other sound monitor so we could hear in case the alarm went off. The sound monitor was complete static...my husband was talking directly into it and I couldn't hear him on the parent monitor because it was so bad. I even tried changing channels and it didn't change at all. The motion sensor did give us 2 false alarms. I tried to contact customer service to see if they could help me fix the problems but they are only open between the hours of 9-5 EST which isn't really convenient when you need help in the evening. Hopefully the Bebe monitor is better! By the way..I have yet to hear from customer service.

Save the money - get a different monitor!
As first time parents, my husband and I thought this would be the best monitor for our child. Not the case. As stated in a previous review, the alarm sounds for no reason, you can't use batteries, and, even with the movement sensor turned off, the alarm still sounds. My husband refuses to turn this on at night, and we just use the video monitor with sound only - that is a better buy. It is even made by the same company. Do not waste your money on this monitor - it is not worth it.

Angelcare Monitor get 5 STARS!!!.......
....but not for preventing SIDS! SIDS is unpreventable, even if you use this monitor here or the angelcare your baby can STILL die. I lost my 1st baby to SIDS, my 2nd I am using an Angelcare monitor and yep it makes me feel safe but still, your baby can die at any moment. I know many moms who lost babies a few feet away from them while the baby was on this monitor and even hi-tech monitors. You just have to enjoy every moment with your baby as if it's your last.
I love the monitor though! I feel safer at night and especially in the morning when we wake up to the tick. I would go crazy w/o it. I highly reccomend this monitor, NOT to save your baby but to keep the parents from worrying as much.
