Customer Reviews of Push It #2
It's okay, I guess. I got this (my 1st Garbage) cd single today, as a last minute boxing-day gift to myself. It is okay. I wouldn't say it's the best that garbage can do as a single.
(THIRTEEN) is great, as well as the cd version of (PUSH IT), but the Boom Boom mix is just too repetitious and slow.
I like (LICK THE PAVEMENT), but it\s kind of hard to follow the lyrics because if you have an automatic surround sound on your stereo, it will muffle the song's lyrics.
But, it's from noneother than Garbage, and they have the most original sound in alternative pop/rock today. I think that (PUSH IT) rocks and it belongs in rock and roll history.
Only major additional flaw...there should have been a 5th track on the disc, but then again, I shouldn't complain...I got mine 2nd hand for a fraction of the original selling price.
If you must have this single, check out the used music store here in amazon z-shops and/or the amazon auctions.
A Small Dessert...
First single from Garbage's multi-platinum selling second album "Version 2.0" which is also one of Garbage's finest moments. Witness how the lead singer Shirley Manson adds Brian Wilson's soothing vocals in "Don't Worry Baby" nastiness, cruelty and sexiness. Contains one B-side which is a cute cover of Big Star's "13". Both of the tracks are fine but it makes you ask for more...
The best Garbage single so far
The remix of "Push It", and the song "Thirteen", are examples of the band at its best.
