There's punk, there's garage rock, and--floating somewhere in between the two aesthetics--there's dumb punk. The soundtrack to Psycho Sisters, the underground film about two serial-killing sisters, has a lot of dumb punk in it. The title track by Bob Nicholson is horrific enough in its own right, a semipsychedelic lo-fi theme song that ranks with the worst ever made. And while the nearly nine-minute-long "Shock Machine" by King Ghidorah! certainly sounds menacing enough to accompany a schlock film, it's just plain bad. But, luckily enough, the dumb punk saves the day. Tracks by Kid with the Man Head ("Cheese Grate Your Face"), the Groovie Ghoulies ("Chubacabra"), the Queers ("I'm OK, You're Fucked"), and the legendary Davie Allan ("Chopper") don't forget the camp that makes B-movies what they are. --Jason Verlinde

Customer Reviews of Psycho Sisters
Excellent Mix This album takes the listener through a wide band of music from the wild to mild. The soundtrack blended well with the production. I recommend the film and owning the soundtrack is a must. Jackie the Jokeman's Marijuana song is great and Jo-Ann Barton's "No One Cares" is a bit creepy but fits the mood. Five Stars to the movie and 5 to the music. Money well spent.
I love this soundtrack because Theresa Lynn is my AUNT!!!
This is probably a good movie but also a good soundtrack I THINK. THeresa Lynn is the greatest actress out there. And I'm not just saying that because Theresa is my aunt!!!
