Customer Reviews of Prima Pappa Rocking High Chair - Tan Leatherette
Attractive but tray is too far away from baby This high chair is beautiful to look at. Goes very nicely with our black and silver high tech kitchen however, it has issues. The main problem is that the tray does not slide in close enough to the baby's tummy so as to catch dropped food. i had another, much cheaper Graco high chair for my 1st child which worked SO much better. He was snug in the highchair with the tray on his tummy with his hands on the tray. With the peg perego, my 3rd son puts his messy hands down by his legs and gets his clothes all dirty, food falls down the gap between his tummy and the tray. So, all in all, it looks good but it causes ALOT of laundry!!! I thought the rocking idea was kind of useless too. Too much money for a high chair. I would have bought a cheaper one if i had known about all the mess I'd be cleaning up now! I would NOT recommend this high chair. Save yourself some money and get one that keeps all the food on the tray.
Good looking, but not useful
It's a very nice looking highchair, but there is no point of having a good looking highchair if it doesn't work!!!

>The rocker stops after only few swing, and it's not easy to fold away!!!
<
>but my son loves to sit in it, he loves to sit high and up like a grow up, he loves sitting it in and watch people, and it looks comfortable too...
<
>I had to buy a addition plastic highchair cover for it, the cloth material is not easy to clean.
<
>I bought this highchair from the mall, it's more expensive, I got it for $209, Amazon.com is cheaper.
Great highchair! Safe and easy to clean
I have the tan leatherette version of this chair, and we have been very pleased with it so far (our son is 8 months old).

>Just some items to note from other reviews:

<
>- I can't imagine anyone saying this chair is hard to clean. It is super easy to wipe down... and *thankfully* doesn't have food-grabbing frilly edges like some chairs.

<
>- It is easy to store out of the way as it folds up (although... to be honest we just keep ours out now).

>- The wheels have locking positions for safety so they roll when you need them and stay put when you don't.

>- The five point harness is a NICE safety feature in our house as our son likes to twist and turn around in his seat. (For the reviewer who claimed it a choking hazard, I completely disagree! And unfortunately, we had an opportunity to test this view. One night my son started choking on his peas. He had been playing with them with his tongue and got himself into a bit of trouble swallowing. As soon as I saw his face turn a bit red and could see the distress he was in, I had him whipped out of that buckle in about 2-3 seconds and flipped over into the infant choking position to dislodge the food. Now, we generally don't use the tray right now... since I'm feeding him... but even if it had been in it IS easy to remove. I think the key is... ALWAYS WATCH YOUR CHILD CLOSELY WHILE THEY ARE EATING and if there is a problem... keep your cool! My son was a bit freaked by the episode, but when he saw that I remained calmed and was cooing to him that "you're ok, you're ok" he immediately calmed down. Anyway, I don't think blaming the highchair for having a safety feature like a five point harness is really fair.)

>- I do agree that the tray sits a bit high and that it might be somewhat of a problem for short children. However, we are short (me 5' and husband 5'10") and yet our 8 mos old seems to fit fairly well in the chair when the tray is used. I believe by the time he is 12 mos and doing some self feeding that it won't be that big a problem. (Nonetheless, I'll give this item 4 stars instead of 5 because of the potential for an issue.)

>Overall... I would buy this chair again. I has been fantastic for us. My son is comfortable in it and enjoys sitting for dinner times (he used to only sit on our laps while we ate but started in his chair at about 4.5 to 5 months old).
