Customer Reviews of Pride & Prejudice
You'll be laughing Watching this movie when it came on tv I was suprised at how much I like it. Set in more of a modern time than the other movies based on this book I could relate to it. <

>In the movie Lizzie is a clerk at a bookstore. She mets Darcy the arrogant man who catches her eye and heart. But she also loves Jack. When she finds out Jack is a liar it seems her choice is made for her on what man is right. But thanks to Caroline that doesn't happen. The ending was great. <

>Penny Lane
Strangely addicting.
When I caught the last half of this movie, I found myself hooked with the characters, their dialogues, and the rest of the flick itself. The next weekend I jetted to Amoeba and grabbed the only copy I found. It was mine.

>I cannot amuse myself enough with this film -- it charms me entirely. I think it might have something to do with the awkwardly interesting characters; they are brutally unique in some indescribable way and what they do and say in the film is either hilarious or unspeakable. Also, I found Kam Heskin and Orlando Seale to be very appealing actors by the end of it and I am surprised they have not been picked for new roles in other movies. In addition, the adaptation from Jane Austen's novel was quite brilliant, and the student life of Elizabeth Bennet could not have been portrayed better.

>A fun chick flick. More unique than others you have seen, trust that.

This movie was horrid and diarrhea to the mind--especially to one so fond of Jane Austen. The acting is just unconventionally bad and by the middle of the movie, i wanted to wring the actress who played Elizabeth--she was stoic and bulky. JANE! JANE! WTF! Argentinian? No no no. What really made me crawl into a corner was just the script itself. It has NO character development aside from Lizzy is a feminist. But even that gets to be atrociously repetitive to a point where I wished I could be transported to the 50s and be subordinated again. Bingley's stupidity was so limitless that he seemed to have some medical condition in the head--and I began wondering what in the world Jane saw in him, until I realized, she is also very stupid. Then I wondered why elizabeth would be friends with such imbeciles if she is portrayed as an intelligent go-getter? O Right. The writer was talent-deaf!... Darcy somewhat compensated for this garbage costumed in a movie--but only because i shamelessly love british accents. but his character development was lacking as well. There was nothing distinctly Mormon about this movie aside from the lack of sex scene and lack of profanity. But so did the Knightley-McFayden version... I'd say more but the image of the last scene when Darcy is "happily" spinning around Elizabeth but they look like two strangers with petroleum jelly in their mouth and glued to one another is just chewing up my mind.
