It needs a seatbelt I bought this for my 9 month old daughter. I put her in it with the seat as high as it would go, her feet were just touching the floor. Next thing I knew she had climbed out of it and fell and hit her head on the floor.
I have not used it since and if you use it I suggest using some kind of strap to buckle your baby in.

I wasn't sold on the whole walker thing, especially since several of the parenting books recommend against it. I see their concerns; sometimes caregivers slip away or mistakenly leave objects around that can cause accidents. With moderate supervision, this is a great learning device. My son learned how to be mobile and independent in this walker!! The music isn't that loud...the baby likes it!!...........One improvement for my taste: I would've liked a toy loop to hang additional toys from.
