Customer Reviews of Potty 'N Step Stool
Ok Potty But Hard To Clean I bought this potty for my son without checking any reviews (grabbed it at the store). My mistake! It's fine for the money. Like other reviewers here, we ended up not using the splash guard as it gets in the way of getting on and off the potty. But fortunately, our son wanted to pee standing up pretty quickly. UNfortunately, however, the expected aim problems result in pee that ends up under the back part of the seat - under the lid. The lid doesn't come off so you end up having a real cleaning problem. Another cleaning problem is under the seat - inside the potty where the bowl rests. There are quite a few nooks and crannies in there. The odd thing to me is that somehow pee can get in there. And it has been rather challenging to figure out a way to get at it without putting the whole thing in the tub to hose it down. And that's not something I feel like doing every day.
So, cleaning is my dilemma with this potty. I don't understand how someone would design a potty with individual parts that don't come completely off for easy cleaning.
We're shopping for another potty.
I liked it!
I got Potty 'n Step Stools for a present and used with my two daughters.<

I liked it a lot. Easy to use and comfortable for the kids to sit in them. <

And later, when they got bigger, they used it like a stool, dragged it around, stepped on it to get taller and reach for forbidden things, that mommy put higher, away from them in a first place...<

splash guard issue
I was disappointed with this potty. It would be fine for a girl, however, I have a boy and another on the way. Upon him trying to use it the splash guard constantly fell (tipped in) on him. I tried and tried figuring out what I had done wrong. It looks pretty simple, just snap it in. But there was something with the construction of either the seat or the guard which prevented it from staying. Upon calling the company they had me read codes to them from the bottom so they could send me a replacement splash guard. However, according to the numbers on the bottom, the potty had not yet been manufactured!! She sent me a replacement guard, but they still did not work. So I'll be buying another potty, one with a built in splash guard.
