Customer Reviews of Pliko Matic Stroller - Black Sable
Mother of 3 I own 2 Plikomatic strollers and LOVE THEM!!! I have tried many Graco products and they are bulky, inconvenient to fold, don't hold up for the long haul. The Pliko strollers are lightweight, a snap to fold and are so compact! I've always found the storage to be adequate for my needs, however, I am not a fan of diaper bags... If you travel or commute by bus, this is the stroller for you - folds quickly and easily, lightweight and you can move the wheels so it will stand up when folded. I know - I commuted by bus for a year with a 2-year-old, stroller and a backpact full of textbooks! My first Pliko is still in use after 7 years...so this is one durable product!
Saved the Best for Last
This is the fifth stroller I have owned... I've had them all: travel system, umbrella stroller, double stroller, jogging stroller... I finally found one I love!!! I have a 1-year-old and a 3-year-old and this stroller works great. My 3-year-old loves to stand on the back platform and hold on like "the garbage man". My little guy is content to sit in the stroller and play with the bumper bar, which is removable for easy diaper changes.
The few drawbacks that I note: (1) The cupholder is a waste. It's only big enough to fit a small cup or can, and usually pops off in the trunk of the car. (2) The basket (if you can call it that) is hard to get in and out of, is very small, and usually needs to be reconnected upon opening and folding the stroller. (3) I tend to have a difficult time locking the stroller into its fully folded position... other than that it is a breeze to fold... very easy.
Overall, I would recommend this stroller to anyone who wants the best. Don't waste your money with the other "cheaper" models. Start and end here.
Know what you really need before you buy
When I was pregnant, I just had to have this stroller. It is light weight, folds umbrella style, very plush, 5 point harness. It isn't one of those HUGE travel systems I see everyone lugging around. What more could I want? Well the baby arrives and I find out what more I could want. This stroller was sold and replaced when my daughter was 6 months old. We both hated it! She hated being in it! I ended up carring her most of the time we were out which wouldn't be so bad if it were not for the fact that you cannot steer this stroller with one hand. It is impossible! The basket holds nothing and you can't get to it anyway. The cup holder won't hold a cup, it's too small. The harness is always in the way(I found I prefer the lap belt). I found that the only things I liked about the stroller were the fold and weight which really didn't matter since all I do is take it in and out of the back of my car. I don't live in an apartment where I must take it up and down stairs. I don't use public transportation. I need something my daughter likes, has a useful basket, parent and child trays, and steers with one hand. So I now own one of those huge SUVs of a stroller and my daughter and I are much happier. This is a quality stroller and will last through several children. Just make sure you know what it lacks before you buy.
