Customer Reviews of Persona
Try something different Great gameplay, neat design, compelling story. What more could you want in an RPG? How about guns? There are also some serious incentives for fighting those inevitable random battles; your characters get experience, and so do their personal demons ("Personas"), which allow them to use magic and can be moved from character to character. You can also get out of a random battle by bargaining with a monster for money, items, or a card that will allow you to create more personas. This is not an easy game, which makes it all the more rewarding. If you're an RPG fan who's looking for something different, you won't be disappointed.
Meidocre at best...
Persona attempts to be an original, creative and interesting RPG game...but it doesn't quite succeed. Yes, the story line is original but the diagloge is LAME and the battle scenes are downright BORING. You spend alot of time wandering around town and during these scenes, your character party is reduced to a green blob. They're called graphics...why not use them? It's also really tedious to wander aimlessly through schools, hospitals, etc. checking each and every room for some form of action. The music gets real old fast and it takes awhile to get used to the controls of the game. The only reason I gave it 2 stars was for the original gameplay. Rent this game before you buy.
Brillance
This was the first attempt at a 3d rpg id had ever scene I spent hours just battling away. Discovering new persona and items. The interaction system was among its greatest inovations for a console allowing to try and talk you way out of fighting and gain somethign by it. The plot was a pain to understand but then again I was like twelve at the time. the maps were a bit of a pain until you got your barings i mean everythign looked the same event he freaking switchs.
