The stars are mostly for his voice Pedro Fernandez is unquestionably one of the princes of ranchera music, but most of the videos on this DVD don't use him to his full potential. Unlike the music videos of Alejandro Fernandez and Pablo Montero, these mostly represent Pedro as an outsider, singing about anything that goes on in the background of the videos. Only in two, "Yo No Fui" and "El Siete Mares", is he fully participating in what is going on. "La Bala" is concert footage with a shots that remind us that this attractive guy can really shake his booty (and said booty is very nice, indeed) and thus isn't a music video in the pure sense. This is rather surprising in view of the fact that Pedro is also an actor with a considerable resume.
The rest of the songs are "Enamorada," "La Mujer Que Amas," "Fueron Tres Años," "Si Tu Supieras," "Lluvia de Plata," "Despacito," "Sin Tu Amor," and "Acompañame" (with Alicia Villareal). Extras are biographical information, Universal music discography, and a photo gallery. There is also a program inside which gives some bio information, identifies the directors of the videos and the composers of the songs and has a poster photo of Pedro on its back page.
Pedro has many other songs that deserve music videos, and I hope that if they exist anywhere that they are scripted more like "Yo No Fui" rather than the videos that precede it on this disk.
