Customer Reviews of Pantera: 3 - Vulgar Videos from Hell
Smoke 'em if you got 'em This DVD collects all three of Pantera's previously released home videos (Cowboys From Hell, Vulgar Video, and 3: Watch it Go) and as a DVD bonus contains concert footage from Pantera's Monsters of Rock performance in Moscow which took place nearly 10 years ago. All three videos are hilarious and we get to see what kind of a fun lovin' bunch Pantera can be. Lookout for cameos appearences from Suicidal Tendencies, Alice in Chains, Rob Halford, Kerry King of Slayer, Prong, White Zombie, Crowbar, Skid Row, Megadeth, Trent Reznor (in the most hilarious part of the videos), and Marilyn Manson among others. While this is a great DVD to have, there is one big problem, you cannot skip between chapter selections like you can with other DVD's. That alone will determine how you feel about this DVD. If you already own all three of the single home videos, there is no sense in buying this, but if you don't and you own a DVD player and love Pantera, give this a shot.
THE HOLY GRAIL OF DVD'S!!!!!
Before Jackass, before Tom Green... there was Pantera. The greatest heavy metal band in existance and some pretty funny people. This has got to be the best (and funniest) DVD out there. Not to mention it is about my favorite band: the one and only PANTERA! Did I mention that they were my favorite band? Anyway, this DVD includes all their videos (excluding the ones for Reinventing the Steel. Those will probably be on video #4 which is in the works). Anyway it also includes some good live footage ranging from the old days of doing club tours to the big arena tours. Other than that it is just LOADS and LOADS of home video footage shot backstage and on the road and it has to be some of the funniest stuff I have ever witnessed. Its them breaking things, getting drunk, doing stupid stuff, ect. Its just 4 hours of greatness that will change your life forever. Look for cameos from Black Sabbath, Marilyn Manson, Rob Zombie, Trent Reznor (one of the funniest parts on the whole thing), Rob Halford, Prong, Alice In Chains, and more metal stars. Other highlights include the whole "fake hand" segment, the whole thing with the stunt dummy, all the footage of them on airplanes, the Japanese tour... hell, the whole thing is great... It even features Twiggy (Marilyn Manson bassist) throwing up. WHAT MORE COULD YOU WANT?!!! The only bad thing about this DVD is that there is no scene selections...... But other than that it is great. This DVD cracks me up every time I watch it. Hopefully video part 4 will have scene selections. Anyway go buy this. and get part 4 when it comes out. I can't wait.
The worst music DVD I've ever seen.
Before you immediantly vote "Not Helpful" (which I'm sure most of you will do without even reading this), I'm actually a fan of Pantera, which is why this DVD upset me so much. One big problem I faced was that there were no chapter breaks, meaning that you had to watch each hour-long video in one sitting. Those who just want to automatically watch the music videos will have to fast forward through the whole thing just to get to them.
The main attraction of this thing is the video content itself, in which case, "Vulgar Videos from Hell" isn't very good. We get three hour-long videos which show the exact same stuff: the band members making complete fools out of themselves. They throw stuff around, they cuss at each other, and do loads of other boring crap that no one cares about. This kind of stuff is a little interesting for about 15 minutes, but it becomes unbearable at the end of the hour. I really can't believe I paid $34.99 for this thing. What a waste.
