Customer Reviews of PS2 NBA Live 2006
The best NBA 2006 game ever!! I really like this game! And this game is not crappy either!!!!! The graphics are great! And its really good!
Here's your answer!!!
A reviewer below asked the simple question:
<
>"What's wrong with these basketball video games???"
<
>(in reference to both Live and 2K6 and also probably referring to how crappy they are).
<
>
<
>Here's the EXTREMELY EASY ANSWER to your question:
<
>"All you guys are still buying them year after year!!!"
<
>
<
>That's what's wrong with these games. You guys buy them year after year so EA is making the same expected amount of $ year after year. You give them no motivation to make a decent basketball video game.
<
>
<
>It's not EA's fault, they're acting through simple business policies. They're meeting their income expectations on these games so why should they spend the extra $ on game improvements??
<
>If they're going to make the same amount of $ off you either way, why not take the least expensive path?
<
>
<
>Wake up you guys (ha, I know, it's an impossible thing for you all to do. You'll still buy the game next year and then you'll leave the same review... LOL).
<
>
<
>The direction of this game is in your hands.
<
>If you want it to get better again, quit buying it... make EA have to improve. Hit them where it hurts!
What happened????
I used to be confident when buying EA sports games.
<
>Confident that the game would be both fun and realistic enough to pass as a basketball simulation.
<
>Not anymore, I haven't bought an EA game since about 2002. I've played them though.
<
>
<
>They were awesome back in the day, especially with NBA Live '95 which still happens to be the funnest basketball game I've ever played. What happened?
<
>
<
>EA's got these incredible game systems to work with but they still can't figure out a decent rebounding or defensive gameplay system. That sucks!! They've had years to come up with something passable but no.
<
>
<
>You still have to basically let the ball bounce out of bounds on rebounds because the players still can't seem to pick it up.
<
>Most missed shots still result in the ball hitting the ground a couple times even though there's seven footers jumping up all around it...
<
>
<
>EA needs a lot of help.

<
>At least the dunk contest and other extras were fun for a while, not fun enough for their start out $40 price though.
