buyer beware Buyer Beware
You need to have a "specialized television" to get this product to play DVDs that are not Region 1. And once you have found that out you are not going to have a lot of luck asking for a refund. There are many cheaper DVDs available on the web that do not require a multi-region television.
This item was also shipped to me with a European plug!
