You can't go wrong.
I bought this item to use in my new baby's bedroom. I already have a different Safety First monitor for my first born's room and both are running at the same time. They do not interfere with each other and both have crystal clear transmission, I can actually here both rooms from this monitor even with the bedroom doors closed! There is absolutely no static. I really like how the on-the-go monitor packs up into one unit so it is easy to take along to Grandma's or on trips.

Great Monitor, Great Price
I have 3-yr-old twins who have almost aged out of needing a monitor but our old monitor (Fisher-Price brand, exact model no longer made) died before we were out of the woods, so to speak. We didn't want to spend another $40 on a monitor we only needed incidentally. I found this one for $19.99 and am very pleased with it so far. I can turn the volume almost all the way down and I hear no white noise (static or buzz) whatsoever unless I hold the receiver right up to my ear. But if the kids make noise, it is perfectly clear. We have used the monitor in two different houses in two different cities (ours and a vacation house) and the two channels successfully minimized any noise from "external" sources. There is occasionally a little buzz here and there from the receiver, requiring us to move the receiver an inch or two in a different direction, but so far this has not proven to be any hassle. The product design is nice and easy to pack -- the receiver and transmitter snap togther and the two AC adapters and cords fit into the back of the transmitter. It's nice to not need twist-ties or rubber bands to contain the cords. The transmitter seems a bit larger than necessary (to accomodate the snap-on receiver, I suppose), but it packed fine in the same bag we've always packed the monitors in. All-in-all, we're very happy with this monitor. Especially for the price.
