Customer Reviews of Ocean Wonders Aquarium - Cradle Swing
Wonderful invention! I really love this swing! After I assembled the swing, I sat my 1-mo old baby in it before i had a chance to put in the batteries. She was instantly mesmerized by the mobile which is situated directly above her. The plush ocean creatures are bright and eye-catching. They are so cute and high quality, that I could probably use them later as individual toys. You can push the swing without turning it on, which is nice if you just want to sit near and swing gently.
Once I installed the batteries, the swing became even more impressive. My baby was so entertained that I was able to get dinner ready. She is captivated by the turning mobile and soothed by cradle swing. I think it's great for smaller babies because the cradle setting is more gentle.
The swing has become a great help for me because it keeps her entertained for a long period of time, and stops her crying! Great for the evening when fussiness sets in.
I am really impressed with the design of the swing. Fisher Price did their research on this one and found the perfect combination. I recommend you buy one ASAP -- it will be a life saver. At the same time, why not buy rechargeable batteries?
Ahhh, sleep!
When my fiance and I brought our newborn home two months ago, we were less than excited to discover that he would not sleep anywhere but next to a warm body. This was not exactly conducive to resting my weary, bloated post-partum self, since A) I was always afraid of squashing him, and B) lying for a few hours with a baby in the crook of your arm without moving kind of inhibits your circulation. Enter the swing. About two weeks into our ordeal, I happened to put the baby in the swing so I could make a quick bathroom break...and came back to find him sound asleep! After some more experimenting, I realized it wasn't a fluke. Mom and Dad started getting real sleep for the first time since he'd been born, and Kiddo seemed much happier as well :) He loves the music, and as he's developed his eyesight and attention span, the mobile has become a favorite distraction. Our few complaints are that it eats batteries like nothing else, and the motor makes a weird whooshing, grating, clicking noise that does not translate well over a baby monitor. Considering the alternative, however, the tradeoff is definitely worth it. I only worry that we rely on it a little too much--he sleeps in it every night (for nine hours straight!!), but still refuses the crib. Hopefully it won't come back to haunt us when he grows out of it and still won't sleep in his crib...
